Welcome to Huset Alcamaro
How nice that you are looking for a holiday home in Norway and have come to us.
We are Alex & Carina Jong. Since July 2022 we have been living in this beautiful place, in the house next to the accommodation. Here you can enjoy peace, space and nature, while shops and amenities are still a short distance away.
The space in which the apartment is located was originally one large room used by the previous residents for parties and family gatherings. We have completely renovated it and carefully transformed it into a comfortable and attractive accommodation, with separate bedrooms and a private bathroom.
What started as a place for family and friends, has grown into a hospitable holiday home that we are now happy to offer through various rental sites. We are proud of the result and hope that you will feel as at home here as we do.
Enjoy inside and outside
It is not only pleasant to stay inside; You can also enjoy the outdoors. There are two picnic benches on the site. In the morning you can drink your coffee in the sun at the entrance of the apartment. Later in the day it is wonderful to sit downstairs with a view over the meadows.
For a walk, just step out the door — you can walk straight into the forest.
From October to March we welcome guests who stay for two weeks or longer.
The quiet season offers ideal conditions for focused work, writing, or simply slowing down.

Location and accessibility
Huset Alcamaro is located approximately 50 kilometers north of Kristiansand , about an hour's drive from the airport and the ferry port where Color Line and Fjord Line ferries arrive from Denmark. Ideal: you can quickly reach your destination once you arrive in Norway.
The village of Bjelland is 4 kilometers away . Here you'll find a supermarket, church, sports facilities, and a primary school.
Larger towns and cities can be reached within about 20 minutes by car. Therefore, your own transport is recommended. In Bjelland, there's a bus stop with a connection (twice daily) to Mandal . For bus connections to Kristiansand or Evje , use the stop in Hægeland ; this bus runs several times a day.
Peace, space and nature
Our area is characterised by extensive forests, a swimming lake and open meadows where deer and elk can regularly be seen in spring and summer.
